Victor was the son of Frederick Henry & Beatrice Hilda Burt, of 24 Crescent Road, Wimborne. His father was employed at the Eclipse Works in Newborough.
Victor had an older sister and a younger brother.
In the summer of 1937, he gained his School Certificate and also played in the Grammar School  Cricket X1, when "He bowled well on occasions and his fielding was good." (In the last match of the season, his figures were 5 for 29.)
He was training as a Wireless Operator (Air), when he was killed in an air crash and  he is interred in Wimborne Cemetery.
